August's Glossybox = Pure Luxury

Hello everybody! I'm finally posting a review on my august Glossybox (USA).  I received my box about a week ago but not only did I wanted to try out the products first before reviewing it but I also went on a roadtrip to El Salvador, so It took me a while to get back to blogging.

Just in case you haven't heard about this box, it is a subscription service where you get 5 or more beauty products (some full size, some sample size) for $21 a month. If you would like to subscribe I will send you an invitation, just post your email address on a comment or you can just email it to me fleurburnsorange@gmail.com

Now, let's get to the box.  It is a very pretty pink hard cardboard box with the Glossybox logo on it.  I think everyone can agree with me when I say that they pay a lot of attention to their packaging and that's one of the reasons why their subscription service attracts a lot of beauty addicts such as myself.

This month's theme was "Pure Luxury", and I must say that I'm very satisfied with what I got on my box. First I wanna show you the Illamasqua Nail Varnish which I got in the shade Purity. It is a very soft peachy orange sorbet that I wouldn't normally wear but I did loved after giving it a try. The nail polish itself is very pigmented.  I hate to admit that I found it very hard to get and even color at first cause it is such a bright shade but I got it right after the second try. Overall it is a great nail polish that I would definitely recommend. This is a full size product and it retails for $14.

I also received the Ellis Faas lipgloss, the one I got is called L309 glassed lips which is a clear gloss. I was very excited about getting this one cause I noticed on youtube that everyone was getting a orange looking color that I would never be able to pull off. What I liked the most about this gloss is that I can wear any lipstick color that I want and just put some of this gloss on top and my lips won't feel sticky at all. Another thing about this gloss is that it is a full size product and it retails for $35!

I also got the Biolage Exquisite Oil Replenishing Treatment which is a hair serum.  I was very concerned about trying this serum cause I have oily hair and I don't really thing that I need something that would make it greasy but this product only made my hair very soft and shiny so I was very happy with the results. It also says you can use it before shampooing, during conditioning, while styling or overnight as a treatment. i just used a few drops before blow drying. This is the smallest sample I received, it is 5 ml while a full size is 3.1 oz and it retails for $22.

So I also received the Ole Henriksen Truth Serum. I honestly haven't given this product a try, specially because I'm not sure how it would react on my skin. It says it helps smooth out lines and wrinkles, which I don't have.. just yet. I guess I'm getting any younger but I haven't decided if I should try it or not. What do you guys think? Anyways, this is a 0.5 oz while the full size is 1.0 (meaning it's half the original size) and it reatils for $48, so that's $24 right there.

Last but not least is the Touch in Sol Feel like Honey Moon Skin Base. On the description it says that it has a "honey texture" so at first I thought it would be slippery or sticky? I don't know.. but I wasn't very excited about trying it. Now that I have, I can tell you that even though it is funny looking it does not have a bad texture and that it worked very well with my skin (oily). My foundation did last longer and my face felt very soft through out the whole day, plus it doesn't have a scent which is good news for me. This product is 1.06 oz and the full size is 1.13 oz and it reails for $20.

I was very happy with these last couple of months box.  What do you guys think about what I got? Did you receive the same stuff? What are your thoughts on beauty boxes? Do you think it's worth the $21?
